Chef Bradley Butler CEC, works as The Creative Culinary Counselor which allows him to use his varied talents and knowledge in several creative ways. Through his consulting business Chef Butler has enhanced brand awareness and increased sales for many different companies with his unique presentation abilities. He is now the Chef / Food Service Manager at Leo’s Elite Bakery & Deli and Watermark Specialty Foods in East Rochester, New York. A Rochester native he lives in Pittsford, NY with his wife, Marnie. As with many chefs, his career path contains many twists and turns. Most of the past 10 years he has been in the culinary aspect of the healthcare field at several senior living facilities, for the 25 years before being in healthcare he has worked for just about every type of food service operation: at a local school, Nazareth College, hotels like the Lodge at Woodcliff and the Strathallen Hotel, and many different restaurants, Beefsteak Mining Company (where all this started) Murph’s Irondequoit Pub, these are just some of the places he has worked in Rochester. Chef Butler has had the experience of working in different parts of the country in places like Boston, New York city and in the Catskills.

Chef Butler received his Certification as Executive Chef in January 2008 from the American Culinary Federation (ACF). His education includes an Associates degree from the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park NY (1987) and will graduate soon from SUNY Empire State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Economics with a major in Accounting.Chef Butler has been an active and proud member of the ACF for since 2001, serving on the Board of Trustees for the local chapter ACF Rochester as Treasurer also the Sergeant at Arms and is presently the Secretary. He has served on numerous committees and has hosted many chapter meetings and has played an integral part in many of the associations’ events including being the Chef de’ Cuisine for the 2009 CURE Brunch.Highly creative Chef Butler has been a finalist 2 out of the last 3 years in a recipe competition called Culinary Creations sponsored by a nationwide organization of health care facilities with over 5,000 member companies. He also is the creator of the very innovative and successful dining concept called Gourmet Theater. The event held in January 2009 for the New York State Restaurant Association featured the collaboration of many of the areas best chefs, under Chef Butler’s direction, bringing his unique vision of “the Dinner being the Entertainment” to its triumphant outcome.Chef Butler volunteers his time and passion for the culinary field by being involved in education where he helps to inspire students in schools like Fairport High School at their Culinary Camp and the Monroe County B.O.C.E.S. where he helps organize different activities that encourage the young culinary enthusiasts to become chefs and to have fun in pursuit of that goal. Also to help the B.O.C.E.S. students he is a proctor for the state NOCCTI exams and a judge for the regional Pro-start competition In addition to this he is part of the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation’s team, where he helps accredit culinary schools at both the secondary and post secondary levels. He even lends his skills and knowledge to the Cornell Cooperative Extension Monroe County at various events like the Lilac Festival and cooking classes where he promotes healthy cooking techniques using locally grown produce.
