As your new President, I would like to start by thanking everyone who voted for me and especially Brad Yearwood, CEC for nominating me for President. I consider this an honor and I look forward to working with all of you. I encourage participation from all chapter members and would appreciate your input, ideas, and involvement.
With the New Year come some changes on the Board of Directors. Former President, Paul Healy, CEC, AAC, will serve as Chair of the Board. Many thanks to Chef Paul for serving the past two years as Chapter President, editor of The Stockpot, and webmaster. Chef Paul will continue to edit The Stockpot through the New Year and continue duties as webmaster. Chef Yearwood will serve as Vice President and as Program Chair. I would like to welcome new to the Board as Trustee, James Neuman, CWPC, who will hold the three year term and welcome back to Judy Keltz, who will hold the 2 year term spot and serve as the Health and Welfare Chair. Van Laughlin, previously the Vice President, who will join the other trustees and will also serve as the Membership Chair. John Venturo, CEC, AAC will serve as Corresponding Secretary and as Public Relations Chair, replacing Sharon Wood, outgoing Corresponding Secretary. Brad Butler finished his term as Treasurer and now will serve as Sergeant at Arms. Jan Streeter, previously a Trustee, will continue to serve the Board as Treasurer. Lisa Cunliffe, CEC, will continue as Recording Secretary. Chef Don Antinore CEC, CCE, CCA, AAC, former Board Chair will serve as the Certification Chair. David Festenstein will serve as Chef of the Year & President's Ball Chair. The Education Chair is vacant; please contact me if you are interested in filling the spot. Thank you all for your dedicated service.
The general meeting is on January 29, 2007 at the VFW Post 307, 54 South Union Street, Rochester starting at 7:00pm with a Chicken Consommé demonstration by Brad Yearwood, CEC. Brad has lined up many informative presentations and demonstrations for this coming year.
