Our next general meeting will be held at Cobblestone CC in Victor, NY on November 26, at 6:30 pm. One of our members will do a food demonstration, and we will be electing a Trustee to serve a 3-year position on the Board. In order to be nominated for this position, candidates must be a member for at least one year. So far Van Laughlin and David Festenstein have been nominated for this position.

Chef James Neuman, CWPC Executive Pastry Chef of the Genesee Valley Club was nominated for Northeast Region Pastry Chef of the Year. If he is chosen, he will compete at the NE Regional in Cincinnati, OH in April 2008. Up to four candidates may be chosen by the selection committee. Each semifinalist will prepare a category P-1 dessert. The first place recipient will be declared the regional winner. The winner will advance to the national convention for another cook-off against the other regional winners for the Pastry Chef of the Year. Congratulations and Good Luck James!
