Starting on February 25, our new meeting place is The Corner Sports Bar, 122 Main Street, East Rochester at 6:30pm. The Chef of the Year nominations will open at this meeting and run through the March General Meeting, which is March 25. Mike Sperenza, CEC, will do a Mozzarella demonstration at the February meeting.
I would like to thank Jeff O'Brien for his demonstration of Molecular Gastronomy at January's meeting. It was a unique technique that still has people talking! Also, we voted on the Herman G. Rusch Award, for Noble Masi,CEPC,CMB,CHE of Plymouth, MA.
We are still looking for help for the Great Chefs Dinner at the Skaneateles Country Club on Sunday, March 30. The ACF Rochester has committed to the Seventh Course, which is a "Game Course." The committee is comprised of Chef James Neuman, CWCP, Mike Vasile, Brad Butler and me. If you are interested in helping, please contact one of us.
The SS Kemp Culinary Competition in Cleveland, OH, took place on February 16-18. Congratulations to all the following competitors:

I would like to also congratulate Rebecca Altmann, CPC, the Baker at the Genesee Valley Club, for being awarded the $500.00 scholarship from the ACF Rochester Chapter. She will attend the French Pastry School in Chicago, IL from March 11-13, 2008.
