On March 30, 2008 members of ACF Rochester will head to Skaneateles CC to cook the 7th course of a 9 course dinner for the Annual Great Chef's dinner hosted by the ACF Syracuse Chapter. The course will be composed of Venison Loin, Horseradish Rice Tarts, Carrots and a Cauliflower Puree. The prep will be handled at the Genesee Valley Club starting on March 28. If you are interested in helping out you can contact Chef James Neuman at 271-1010 ext. 159. Your help is much appreciated.
Nominations for Chef of the Year opened at the February General Meeting. Brad Butler, CEC and I are the first two nominees. Nominations will be open until the General Meeting in March. If you know an ACF member with qualifications for this yearly accolade, please nominate that person. All nominees are required to submit eligibility documentation to move forward in this process. The Country Club of Rochester will host this year's cook off for Chef of the Year.
Any demonstrations that you, or someone you know in the industry, would like to bring to an ACF meeting can be set up through Brad Yearwood, CEC. He can be reached at Cobblestone Country Club.
Shortly, we will e-mail ACF members to choose how they would like to receive the Stockpot newsletter. We are encouraging members to sign up for the e-mail copy in order to cut down on paper and postage.
Two new members received their certifications recently, James Campolieto, CC and Brad Butler, CEC. Please help me congratulate them when you see them.
Good Cookin',
Chef Macri
