Friends,

In a few days you will receive your ACF election ballots for you and your chapter members to cast a vote for our ACF National Officers, the people who comprise the National ACF Executive Board.

Every person seeking office is, indeed, a distinguished member of the ACF................and, at the end of the day, they can be counted among those outstanding members who have contributed to the great and worth while programs that make the ACF the proud representative of each professional cook, baker, educator and research and development person comprising our great industry.

So we must select one among them whom we believe will best serve the ACF initiatives those being born and nurtured right now and for the future of our organization. President Edward Leonard, CMC, AAC and the current board has a five year plan in the works. Like you, I have listened intently to Chef Leonard expound this program and find it exceptional! I see it as our Federation's re-birth. But what good will it be if's still born?

The National Board needs strong, determined, no nonsense people at the helm who can make this plan a reality. The Board also needs a drop of new blood, here and there, an ingredient not yet introduced into the mix of ideas and stratagies. I believe there is a man who will fit this description just right....a new, fresh and intellegent thinker. He is Gerry Murphy!

Gerry has shared his vision and told us from where his ideas stem. He has, at every Regional Conference faced the members and brought new and invirgorating programs, doable programs to the table. Gerry is a strait shooter! A member with the heart of a lion, yet sensiitive to the needs of every ACF member, urban or Rural. A no nonsense kind of man who has the ACF member in mind when ever and where ever he expounds the virtues of the ACF. Unafraid to work, Gerry has the support of family, employer and many hundred members willing to give new blood an opportunity. Gerry is a worker! Elect him and see for yourself what energy he brings to the Board.

Organaztional skills second to none! Honest approaches to every kind of matter...no smoke and mirrors, just plain facts and a head on approach to solving problems. He will fit in very well with the demigraphics of the current board! His mind set is inventive, innovative, modern and his willingness to participate on our ACF team, outstanding. Again, elect him and judge for yourselves what an asset we, collectively, put into the ACF Secretary's Chair.

I guess I've said enough. I do want to say to you that Gerry is a New York neighbor and has worked very hard in our State and beyond for the good of the membership. I believe in Gerry Murphy! Therefore, I am asking that you read what I have presented, digest it and look deeply at the facts, and I know you wil agree with me that Gerry Murphy will make the best ACF National Secretary for us. Believe in him too. I also urge you to encourage your members, many of whom never have the opportunity to hear the talks given by potential ACF officer/candidate, to cast their vote in this election for Gerry Murphy, National ACF Secretary.......With Gerry on the Board, we'll all be winners.
