Plant Tour Planned For April Meeting

Greetings to all of you
I trust all had a nice holiday and is enjoying some warm weather finally. We have the raffle
in full swing. At our last meeting Chef Vasile handed out tickets and posters. If you where not at the last meeting, come to LiDestri Foods on the 27th at 6:30 and pick some up. Having lowered the ticket price to $20.00 makes it more attractive to the customer. Also having a chance to win 1 of 3 prizes on one ticket adds more value, most of the people I have sold them too will purchase two of them instead of just one. I have sold 8 already, it's been easy!
I would like to thank Chef Macri and Chef Neuman (and Chef Redmond of course, because without him, there would probably not have been a caviar tasting) of the Genesee Valley Club for the awesome caviar tasting at our March Meeting.
Our next Meeting is at LiDestri Foods in Fairport, New York. We will gather around 6:30 (the earlier you are there the better) in the main lobby, which is the entrance under the awning. For those of you coming from the west side:
490W to 490 E
Exit @ Linden Ave. / 441-turn left at the exit light.
441 to RT 250.
R on RT 250.
250 to Whitney Road [about one mile]
Whitney Road to the plant. The plant will be about a ˝ mile down on the left hand side of. Please park in the upper lot.
If you are coming form the East side, just take 490 E to 441 and follow the same directions, except you will turn R at the exit light instead of L.
We ask that you not wear any dangling jewelry or pins, no excess "bling" or short pants. Try not to wear sneakers if at all possible. Watches and wedding bands are permitted, however you will have to remove your watch while on the tour. I would also request that all wear a freshly pressed chef's coat. It will be important as we move around the plant so that we can be easily identified by the others who are working. It is a very busy place and we have a lot of new thing's to show all of you but I would like to make one thing very clear; it can be a very dangerous place as well… we don't want any accidents so make sure you have your wits about you at all times and think safety.
Please take some time to review the COTY changes printed in the newsletter, we will vote on it in June.
I am looking forward to showing you all where I work and hopefully it will give you a better idea of what it is I do in product development.
