Hello Everyone
I hope all of you are having a good early summer so far. We need to sell raffle tickets!!!!! I personally have sold almost 20, and it has been easy most people are ready willing and able to spend 20 bucks on a ticket, and I have had 2 people buy 5 each, no problem spending 100 bucks for them. Don't be afraid to ask, most people will say yes.
We intend to have a New Member Mixer at the Convention Center in lieu of our July meeting this year. It is important to keep up the meeting momentum through the year, as we have found that our attendance goes down in July and August. Since we don't usually have a July meeting, we thought that a party would be a nice reason for all of us to get together. The intent of this function is to introduce new people to our chapter and to enlighten them to what it is exactly we do and who we are. More importantly, why they should join us. Chefs Regan and Butler are chairing this function and could use all of the support they can get. If you can, sign up to do one of the food stations, if you cannot do a station, bring a friend or two who are in the business, but not in the chapter and introduce them to what ACF Rochester is about. We need to put our best foot forward on this one people.
The weather is nice golf is in the air…thank goodness! Which reminds me…we have our sixth annual golf outing this year at Brook Lea Country club? We will be featuring your food at this function; each of our members is able to attend the function in the form of showcasing their establishment's culinary creations. Please get a hold of Chef Kevin Toole ant Brook Lea and sign up now! This year's event promises to be the best one ever. Also, we are looking for prizes in the form of gift certificates to local chapter member's restaurants. If you can, please donate a 25 dollar gift card or certificate for a tee prize at the golf outing. This year we will also enjoy an event that was always a lot of fun when we did it at Cobblestone Creek, the chipping contest is back! This event will be exciting and fun to watch. Joe Giambrone is the reigning champion of this event and I am sure that he will want to defend his crown.
