Time is Short

Dear Members

We are in danger of not making our goal for the Harley Raffle. We have
fallen way behind. I have sold 20 tickets myself. Chef Don has not sold
any, last year he sold 50 and was ridiculed for it by a few members,
therefore he chose not to sell any this year. Chef Vasile has put a ton of
effort and personal time into this project, let's not allow it go under.
If you have tickets.....SELL THEM, if you don't......GET SOME AND SELL
THEM. If you need tickets call Chef Vasile at 585-476-5989(H) or
585-468-2742(W) if you have sold tickets, call Chef and make arrangements
to turn in your stubs and money. The raffle will be held at Brooklea CC on
the 30th of this month at the Golf Outing, which is filling up nicely on
foursomes, we do need some more people for the reception however. We are
looking for someone to: Do a Stir Fry or Asian Action Station; Do a carving
Station; Do a pasta station (LiDestri will donate the sauce); Do some
pastry; or donate their time for the day. If you wish to participate
please call me at 585-388-4144 or 315-926-3545 and I will be happy to point
you in the right direction.

The next big event is COTY on September 26 at Shadow Lake. Tickets will be
available at the next meeting and invitations will go out this week. If
you wish to help in the kitchen or participate in Th Hours D Ourve part of
this event please call Chef Redmond (585-271-1010) of Chef Butler
(315-524-2225).

Props this month go out to:
Chefs Brad Butler and David Regan for planning and executing an outstanding
member mixer at the RRCC.
Chef Michael Speranza for doing a great food station at the event.
The GVC for yet again stepping up when called upon for an action station.
Chef Christo and the REOC for a superb carving station.
Chuck Dawes of Specialty Ice for donating his time and doing an ice carving
demo at the member mixer event.
Everyone of you for participating and looking totally pro at said event for
all of Rochester to see.
Chef's Healy, Regan and Slutzky for their participation in the Fairport
culinary camp.

Let's try to remember to mention our chapter when we do functions outside
of the realm of club events. Be proud and tell people that you are a
member of ACF Rochester, help spread the word and it will reach potential
new members.
